Here's a bit more info for you on PA 908.
Built at Chattis Hill,PA908 was delivered to R.A.F. Benson in January 1944, staying here until 4th March when she was transferred to 1 Overseas Aircraft Despatch Unit. Delivered by air via the Mediterranean, PA908 was taken on charge by Air Command South East Asia on 17th March 1944.
Allocated to 681 Squadron in May 1944, PA908 was struck off charge on 9th May 1946, after which she was transferred to the Royal Indian Air Force. Unfortunately her service with the R.I.A.F. is not known.
During 1984 PA908 was put up for sale by the Indian Air Force and was purchased by a Canadian syndicate, who had her shipped to Vancouver, where she arrived on 8th February 1985. Unfortunately the syndicate were unable to afford the high cost of restoring PA908, so she was sold to the United States Air Force Museum at Wright - Patterson Air Force Base.
Now restored, PA908 is painted to represent MB950, a PRXI which served with the U.S.A.A.F. during 1943.
Hope this helps.
