USAF F15 ditched in approx 534100N 004900E. Pilot picked up by rig support vessel. (Telex RCC Edinburgh).
Most of the wrecks off the coast of the UK listed in DiverNet are rapidly decaying or, like this B-17, have been trawled.
The most complete B-17 is off Abbotsbury and this is only in that condition because it has a protective coat of shingle.
The Botha L6111 off Spithead used to be fairly complete but since the position has been published it has become dispersed.
