Ju290, any whispers at all ?
I think the last one survived in Spain into the late 1950s - but was then scrapped

yet again.............

The full story was in an early Air Enthusiast

As for Wellesleys, I remember talking to someone at Brooklands, just as they were finishing the Wellington, who was keen to go and search Iran or Iraq for Wellesleys as a future project

Don't think anything came of it though

ps With the Wellington wings at East Kirkby and the spare fuselage at Brooklands, there must be enough for a complete airframe.

And why can't the Brian Nichols Hampden project be combined with the RAFM example to get one pristine Hampden??

Canada can restore both HP types properly...WHY CAN'T WE??

rant over
