The B-32 was a completly different aircraft, sharing nothing with the B-24. It was a basic answer to the problem solved by the B-29. If the 29 did not work the B-32 would have been the one to fill in the gap. There was rumored to be a B-32 on San Nicholas Island off California, out somewhere near the Navy Base. (Could have been San Clemente Island) There are many wrecks of target aircraft out on the island, including a great Hellcat on Pat Macha's site. It is doubtful any big bits of the B-32 survive as it was not built in numbers and was not destined for preservation. The last one was in the Arizona storage area next to the B-19 and XA-58 among others when she was scrapped, a shame...
