Tracy, thank you for the information regarding the "dumped" aircraft. I already knew about them. My original question was, if the ad that appeared on barnstormers was related to the salvage operation of those aircraft or if it might be something else.

There was a posting elsewhere not long ago, showing the pictures (from afar) of a supposed WWII dump, and the guy was asking for financial back-up. Same goes with this ad, so my curiosity was somewhat awakened by this, although I do not have plans (or the financial means) to invest in something like this.
