TV.. Ray Mears Extreme Survival (UK)

There I was flicking through the TV Channels last night on BBC 2 and I found this fasinatin g program about survival on Nambia's Skeleton Coast
He told the story of the Dunedin Star, which was ship wrecked here in 1942. The bit that really interested me was the story of a Ventura bomber that became stuck when it landed to rescue the crew and passengers. Hopes of finding a complete Ventura under a sand drift were dispelled when it turned out, the crew managed to take off, only to crash further up the coast.. Even then they had an epic survival and managed to meet up with the overland rescue convoy returning with the crew on the Dunedin Star. Anyway bits of the Ventura still exist...
