I was last there in October and agree the Yanks Air Museum is superb. Did you have a look around the storage area at the side of the restoration hangar? Wonderful stuff! And all those Stearmans lined up at the back.
From your photo the P39 looks as it was in mid October and they told me then that it would likely fly before the end of 2001 but that there was no rush.
Could your disassembling Beech have been the Locheed 12A N93R? That was progressed nicely from between late August and mid October and now they seem to have got going on the Corsair.
Re the Bearcats anyone know the ID of the natural one at the back? When I was visiting there were quite a few of the Tom Friedkin/Cinema Air collection in that hangar too as well as Bob Pond aircraft.
