Elliot - I should imagine it refer's to a large amount of magnesium alloy sheeting used in it's construction. As far as I have found out it's a conventional monoque construction so what we are basically looking at is sections which are skinned exactly the same as Alclad would be used. The main drawback with this material is it's corrosion tendancies - hence when the Westland Whirlwind
helicopters used to go through Finnigley on 'Minor' and 'Major' servicing a lot of time was spent removing magnesium skins and replacing them with aluminium.
