ONE PHOTO WORTH THOUSAND WORDS ? CRASH SITE WANTED!! .. PILOT RIG .. LANCASTER FM-102 .. HURRICANE 5647 .. F-86 SABRE .. HURRICANE BW879 .. KC-97 Q-22685 .. HUR BW874 RAF PIN .. LOCKHEED 18 "LODESTAR" .. FORGOTTEN VOODOOS .. This ad is my answer to the many ones who are asking me: really you went on a warbird crash site? What did you saw and what did you found? In this ad there is nothing for sell, only juicy pic's from warbird crash site or relic --- Well lets begin with B17 #44-83790 What you see here is a blade tip (or what it remains). The wreck is still sleeping in shallow water northern Quebec. This B-17 BLADE TIP has been sawn by a diver (one's friend). KC-97 #QC-22685: This tanker was put on autopilot and abandoned by its crew over lake Erie, the engine fire went off and the plane flew until she bellys in a glade 1100 miles away,400 miles north of Montreal city. We were in 62, the wreck is still there. LANCASTER FM-102: In 1953 that Lance was testing equipement when suddenly was cut in two by his whirling target,a DH Vampire. Will have pic of the Lance tail soon. The whole tail was still there untill 96,unfortunatelly metal rats found her.Center Quebec not much wreckage left. .. HURRI 5467 MGUN ..Well baronesss decided this was the next one...Hurri 5467 collided with BW847 august 30 1943 during a chase. In july 98 a diver located the wreck 60' deep, almost completely buryed in soft Merlin oil soaked mud.Though scattered some parts are very well preserved. The other hurri had crashed on the shore.___April 01 1944 Hurricanes 5647 and BW879 collided few minutes after take off and crashed in the bush.Until 1996 there was large tail section remaining on the site.Almost nothing left now.__Sabre F-86: That one is strange enough:In the 60's a Sabre belly landed on a small frozen lake. The wreck was recovered by the AFB.Following summer they brought back the center section in the swamp nearby...she's still there,at the damn of the local sportsman whose chalet is nearby, less than 300'.
