I did some volunteering with the Crawford Museum during the Cleveland airshow. They sponsored Bob O's #57 for the show. One of our tasks was to keep her clean. I spent a very memorable day with two other members of Crawford washing her down. I asked about the restoration of #74...as of now the airframe will be rebuilt to airworthy status sans plumbing ans wiring. The powers that be at Crawford want to hang her in the foyer of the current museum. Mr. Odegaard has indicated that it would be no trouble to complete these tasks should the decision be made to make her flyable.
I met Walter a few times in the late 80's (at Middlefield airport)and spent one day on his "farm". I haven't heard anything about him in quite awhile...with the exception of the sale of #74.
