Hi,
I think I have read all the posts, now, and I don't remember seeing anything about the Grasshopper, but if I missed it I do apologize.
Although, one of the tinier warbirds, the grasshopper, nonetheless, played a role in WW II. I am curious if anyone knows, how many are left, and if anyone is restoring any?
There is an interesting page that talks not only about the grasshopper, but also gives a brief history of Piper, and how the plant came to reside here in town. The web address is: www.fidlersgreen.net/aircraft/private/j3cub/j3cub_info/
j3_info.htm
I triple checked this address, so it should be correct!
Thanks guys,
Karen
