Hi Karen,
Having just seen the photo's you posted (thanks for sending mine by the way) I had another brainwave!
Why not create a tribute website to your Uncle? Many others have done similar things & included a guest book, often some of the entries in the guestbooks are from the veterans themselves!
You have enough material to make a start, after that, I'm sure it will provide you with a wealth of informaiton to keep going for years!
