What a sad sight indeed! I remember seing this plane fly at the DC-3 50th anniversary celebrations in Eindhoven in 1985, and later saw the story in Propliner on how the late Jeff Hawke had flown it to Dublin from South America. And with the usual Jeff Hawke flair, not without incidents either! Too bad things have gone so much downhill since then! Also, what about the ex. Hawke B-25 N9494Z "Laden Maiden" now at Sandtoft in a derelict state? If I had the dosh I?d fix it up in no time, but the lottery numbers didn?t play in my favour this time either!
