Hi all

Considering this topic, what's the status on the many many rumours concerning dumping sites in Britain?

For many years I have been reading about the various
former airfield where parts or even whole aircraft and/or
equipment was supposed to be buried. There were also recent
postings about the excation of such a site in Norway.

Apart from an article years ago in Aeroplane Monthly where
a lot of Typhoon parts were uncovered (with photographs to
confirm it was really true), and the excavations of Tony Agar at Little Snoring not much has come to light, or
am I wrong? Not mentioning the story about the buried Lanc's or Castle Bromwich for that matter.

Over here in the Netherlands there was an excavation at the old airfield of Deelen where a lot of rubbish was found which had been dumped by the Military after the war. Interesting things were found, but mostly army stuff.

Cheers

Cees
