An evocative shot, but one that also made the IDFAF mechanics salivate... This aircraft was probably recovered to aid in sustaining their own fleet of Spitfires, though probably not to fly again...I fhtis is an Israeli wreck, 1949 or so...One of their vanquished enemy spits even flew again with the Star od David I believe...
