Many years ago, my work made me a frequent visitor to the RRE's airfield at Prshore, Worcs. I was present at the time the Hermes 2 VX234 was being scrapped. I wanted to see something of it kept, and the scrapman gave me the throttle box assembly (I'll be very surprised indeed if it differs substantially from a Halifax's !). I only had it for a short while and passed it on to a guy called Roy Bonser, living then (c 1970, IIRC) in the Nuneaton area. He was fairly active in the preservation scene, and was going to try to find a home for it in some museum or collection. I lost touch with him decades ago, so that's about as much help as I can give you.
