What a coincidence, I was reading Lancaster at War 5 yesterday evening and was wondering what had become of the plans to lift KB999. Pity she is gone. I still cannot understand why nothing had been done earlier to save her.
Wouldn't it be possible to recover usable parts to help other restoration projects? Plenty of restorations going on in need of parts.
