and if you visit be aware that they open early, real early, like 08.00hrs and close by 15.00.

You should also be aware that they're some way from the Planes of Fame compound. In fact to visit Yanks you'd be better off, in my humble opinion, parking your car up by the legendary Flo's airport cafe and walking through the nearest gate to get into the general aviation (GA) tie down area. You'll have walk past the varied ranks of GA aircraft, if indeed this is possible these days, to get to the Yanks compound. You'll recognise it from their logo, as seen on their web site. There's no entrance charge, so just walk right on in. It is an excellent and largely unheralded museum, and I can guarantee you'll see some wonderful restorations. Have visited twice myself.
