Oh, so many candidates...
XH558's last display at Cranfield in 1992, the sideslipped pass with the bomb bay doors opened to reveal 'FAREWELL' in huge black painted letters... one day soon she'll be back...
Ray Hanna in MH434, the man is a legend when it comes to displaying the Spitfire...
Charlie Brown in BM597 at Gransden's Children in need fly-in and display in each of the last two years...
PA474's lump-in-throat inducing displays straight after the remembrance service, minutes silence and last post, also at Gransden for last couple of years...
But for me, the one which will always live on in my memory is the Duxford Big Wing at the Battle of Britain 60th anniversary display last year. 19 Spitfires and 4 Hurricanes, appearing from overhead, led by BBMF. Brings tears to your eyes just thinking about it.
