: the one that weeks has is a Boeing model 100 and was never a military acft.. it was used after the was as an airshow performer for many years. by big airshow pilot that starts with a "B".. sorry i'm not at home and can't dig into my files...
the one that is at seattle was owned by lou wallack (sorry about spelling) boeing test pilot ... yes herb dod some work on it but it took lou with his pull at boeing to finally get it done... it is also a Boeing model 100 and was never a military acft.. it was built by boeing and sold directly to Pratt and Whitney as a test bed for several of their engines.. it has an engine mount that is removable at the firewall and boeing built it that way just for P&W... it is the only one that has a reemovable eng mount..
i can give you a lot more info on all the survivors when i get done converting to the KC135 and can get home to my files
take care
