Whats the air content, and the acidity? water soon saturates wood, and brings all sorts of nasties with it, is there a pH value for the soil in the location? just trying to find some piccies of the area, to see what the local vegetation is like.
and I'm still strangely drawn to North Vietnam for possible Spitfire survivors, just a hunch, but I think something may be in Lan Son province, will do more digging and lateral thinking on that one.
