Off topic but...
They have a couple at good ol`Santa Pod for Demo runs - most impressive when they shake the control tower with them, but I don`t know what engines.
An American, Sammy Miller had one with a Lunar Module engine that was supposed to be good for 0-100mph in .32sec and three second quarter miles. Nutter.
The Aero Engined club were more your mad inventor/engineering types, with huge Edwardian type cars, 16liter engines etc. I gather people have been stuffing Hispano V8s into cars almost since the First war ended.
