It is true you will not be able to import any machine gun (unless you are a dealer and selling to law enforcement). You can buy one already registered, but they are very expensive. Also, to get a machine gun license is a hassle, and it may not be allowed in your state, or like in Kalifornia, it may be allowed but never approved (unless you are a company that rents machine guns to liberal anti-gun Hollywood types to make ridiculous movies where the hero shoots 5,000 rounds without ever reloading...).
Why a machine gun? Can you afford the ammo at $1.50+ per round X 800 rounds per minute? You can buy semi-auto conversions for much less without a license.
