I am not an expert in any scripting languages, but I may be able to write a program in C++ that could chew through the current archieves and maybe put them in some kind of text file format (or html if you are willing to tutor me a bit). It would be a project I could do on the side.
Could you send me a sample of an archieve (something small to play with) and a sample of a resulting format.
It might be a little tricky to get it right, or to compromise, with the way some subjects explode into subthreads. I think we could find a middle ground.
