What you mean its not completely Fabric Covered? ;-)

I was actually referring to the control surfaces only, come to think of it I'm not sure which or if all the P47's are in fact fabric covered (aside from the clad flaps).

I do understand though that some fabric can survive in a cold freshwater scenario (how completely?), although I wouldn't have though that that there was enough 'skeletal' structure under the fabric to generate an identical sonar return to the solid clad structure of the wings for example. I?ll ask a friend in Thales (Subsea survey outfit)

This is from the same schoolboy?s Photoshop rendering as the Airfix Sunderland as far as I am concerned. If it is a fake, he did the Editor of the Times up like a kipper, for which he must be applauded! :-)
