Every year except 2003 they held a RC aircraft meet on the runways at Mountainview so in 2002 I finally went. No police or military in sight and I was able to have the run of the place except for the hangars. Most of the Tutors were in the hangars at the time of my visit. The problem was it fell on father's day weekend as did the Aviation Aircraft Show and the Hamilton airshow so I only made it one year. Sure glad I went as driving up to the gate will not get you in, I tried several times. Just down the road from Mountainview is Picton, a complete BCATP Base with all the hangars buildings and roads. It is a must see if you are in the area. I will post photos of Picton soon.
