Absolutely agree with you Graham,
Surely its now time to recover anything thats still worth bothering with. To leave these wrecks to rot to nothing any longer, as "a memorial" must be wrong. Preservation of some sort is surely a much more fitting tribute.
Do the PNG government not realise what they have, or do they (as I suspect) simply lack the funds/manpower to do anything about it? Surely a recovery enterprise of some sort would earn them more than a few, er, Papua New Guinean currency units.
