A couple of years ago in one of the airplane magazines, there was an article on postwar lancaster bombers being scrapped in Canada at Dunville Ontario I thinks. The aircraft were only about 3 or 4 lancasters and they were parked near a hangar in long grass without engines. I remember them being in postwar search and rescue type markings and the photos were black and white. The author said that he asked the security guard on the gate if he could take some pics but was told no so they went to the other side and got through a hole in the fence.
I am desperately trying to find out where this article was for some research on post war lanc disposal in canada.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
