WWII Burma Mossie movie !!

Hi all

I was up till the wee small hours the other night and saw this amazing movie called Purple Plain (not Plane) about Mossies being operated out of Burma in colour - there was some amazing color footage of Mossies , an Anson Mk 1 and a Dakota all flying in and out of jungle fields in color.

On the downside the "special effects' were largely based on Airfix mossies being pushed around the sky on fishing line and some really bad crash scenes which incidentially (and unfortunately) resulted in the burning of a real mossie.

The story was OK but nothing to write home about and the aircraft scenes are fairly short but worth seeing.
