As I recall, "Vendetta" used the Lear wing, a P-51 fuselage, and a Merlin engine and was built by John Dilley. After it crashed during a local flight in Fort Wayne, Indiana, it was rebuilt as a stock P-51D. The wing was sold and became the basis for "Miss Ashley II" with a newly built fuselage.
