You have one hell of a memory Gregory, I can't even remember what I did last week let alone remember Spit wreck serials. You were correct on the serial, this aircraft never saw service with the RAF, being shipped directly to Russia after being checked out at an MU in this country. Nothing is known of it's Rusian history, like most lend-lease aircraft recovered from there, I think I'll have to get reading my brand spanking new copy of Black cross Red star over the christmas hols.
