Hi Olivier--
This was EE606, or at least that was the ID it received. It was rebuilt (crafted?) for Charles Church; the ID was that of a Mk.Vc built by Westland, but the resulting as-new airframe incorporated all the later mods done to the basic Mk.V to turn it into the "longterm-stopgap" Mk.IX. It flew briefly in the UK in the late 80s, in a high gloss Douglas Bader "D:B" livery, before Mr Church was killed in its tragic crash in, I think, early 1989. Mr Church owned several other Spit projects and also a Lanc X and Battle, among others.
S. (BTW, may see you in Ottawa on March 20 if that happens)
