Speaking of American Spitfires, the Banta Spitfire TB252 currently in New Zealand being rebuilt will be restored with all British hardware etc... The only American piece will be the Merlin 266 - but thats what it came with. I've seen it recently and its beautiful - first class restoration. It'll return to California upon completion.
