Bryan,
I believe you heard the rumor of the FCM Sabre from me. Roger Christgau identified the wing as an early unit, much earlier than the fuselage on the truck with it. The owner, or should I say former owner, said it was heading for Idaho and no new owner name or intentions were mentioned. It appeared quite complete (Minus the engine) but in need of a ground up restoration.
I heard about a Sabre being donated to the Duluth squadron as well, but as I recall it wasn't until after the show in Sept. when you were up there. If the rumor is true, it would not have been in the hangar there until later in the fall. After last weekend I'm not driving any farther north to look at warbirds until it gets warmer!
