Yep, I think we have the same photo. There are a series of them, but I haven't been able to lay my hands on them.

As regards 40-2242. I know the airfield it landed at , and I think it was pressed into service with the VVS shortly afterwards. However, another source told me the aircraft was left on the airfield , whilst a diplomatic row ensued over the return of the aircraft and crew.

Another source seems certain the aircraft was destroyed in 1950 by a well documented American air raid, that shot up an airfield in the Vladivostock area, believing they were over North Korea. Amongst the targets engaged were P-63's AND a B-25. However, there were B-25's landing in the area up to the end of the war, so maybe, maybe not.

The bottom line is, if it's still around, the local Ne'er do wells know it's value
