To the best of my knowledge there ever were only 6 "atomic" mustangs at emu. they were A68- 1, 7, 30, 35, 72, 87.
All are listed in the registry here. A68-1 was actually flown from there to parafield after some repairs done on site. it is also the only one still flying except as part of another aircraft from cavalier aircraft and yes it was the first aussie mustangand therefore I guess the prototype.
To the best of my knowledge they were the only aircraft placed for exposure from australian stocks there. not having heard previously of any hornets being placed for exposure, or anything other than those mustangs actually, I am very interested in this thread and to find out where these leads have come from.
