P-38 42-67543 accident

On RealTV today on the Spike TV network, they showed the crash of this aircraft while doing aerobatics at Duxford (I assume). A very sad image, and I feel they failed to acknowledge that this was not just an exciting event captured on film, but a horribly tragic loss of pilot and plane. Did anyone else see this?
