AVG P-40

I was looking through the warbird registry and noticed the AVG P-40 that was found in Thialand, and posted on the flyingtigersavg forum for more info. and gave the link to this site. Here is one response and seems contradict the info in the registry. Quote " McGarry's aircraft was AK-500; there was no AK-498 among the planes listed as shipped to Burma in 1940. The c/n was 15452, not 15451 as shown on that website.

Bowers's Curtiss book will probably give the destination of AK-498." unquote. What do you think?
