It depends on the museum. If they already have a good collection of classics, adding one more classic would not be of much benefit- an unusual type might add more interest.

As others have eloquently stated, there are regional classics as well.

I guess that as long as every warbird museum has (for the collection of fighters) at least a P-38, Corsair, Hellcat, P-51 and P-40; a Spit, Hurricane, and Tempest (or Typhoon if you prefer); a Zero, Ki-61, Oscar, and Tojo; and a 109, 190, and 262 to draw the masses- all the rest are only icing on the cake! :-)
