Hi All,

I thought I should comment on what Ryan Short mention. First alittle background on the NHR it was concived to preserve and protect Historical lands a buildings IE Gettysburg battle ground The old North Church. In 1966 the first admentment was installed this allowed for certain Motorized items to be include. In 1993 the second admendment was intruduce to protect certain WWII sites.

Now the 1966 act is the one that TIGHAR and other including the US Navy have try to use and each time a federal judge has thrown it out when challange. I'm not going to get into the meat of the 66 act but it basically states that only certain types of Historically Vechiles can be included these are the aircraft that are listed as of Summer of 2003.

1 The Wright Flyer 2 Spirt of St.Louis 3 The Enola Gay 4 Box Car 5 The X-1

Thats it many others have been ask to be included but each time they have been regect for variuos reasons. Now the 93 act TIGHAR try to use to have all Warbirds that were less then 5 know included regardless if they were privatly owned or not. this did'nt even make to court.

As you can tell its next to impossiable to get an Aircraft listed or matter of fact any vechile.

So the chances that any judges is going to rule that a Combat record warbird should be listed on the NHR is slim to none. The onlty one I can think is former George Bushs TBM if it is ever found and restored.

Cheers Rob
