Something interesting, I'm beginning to notice, on my most lateral travels on Google so far. It appears that Russian recovery efforts, seem to be divided into the Freelancer, and officially sanctioned units. I'm starting to pull up information, about quasi-official groups, called "Regional Public Patriotic units" These search or "Poisk" groups, concentrate, on finding Military remains in their local area, with some help/equipment from the Military. They appear to be volunteers, with minimal funding, but they do seem to enjoy Governmental support.
In Russia, they do value their veterans, and the sacrifices they made, in the "Great Patriotic War" It seems, they are also affording the the same respects to their former enemies. All items recvered, are turned over to the Military, unless their is a prior agreement, because some funding, does come from artifacts recovered. Any Bodies are re-interred in a "Soldiers Graveyard" and a memorial constructed, if one wasn't there before. There is some really stunning imagery coming up on these sites, and I think I'm gonna need the help of TBD Comrade Ritger, to wade through this lot!
So, going on from Micks point. it looks like you can have a deal with the russian Government, or at least, you can talk to people who aren't motivated by money, more the presevation of history..
Very fitting too..
My favourite group so far, is the Dolina group, 'cos they appear to have a "RecoveryBabe" in their midst.(Olga Ignatieva).... anyway here's the link...
