Gary,

Fort whom is the half-track being restored? Looks to be an M-16. I've found one of the cool bonuses to come from visiting the hangars of many warbird owners is the occasional piece of WWII armor stuffed into the corner :) That would make a great airshow 'scout' vehicle for the company IMO.
