As disconcerting as it is knowing these planes are little more than crystalized ghosts of their former selves, I think I'd still pay good money to walk into a hangar lined with relatively complete Luftwaffe aircraft raised from the womb of some sunken WWII-era vessel.

Does anyone think there would be any demand for this kind of unique, non-airworthy display? I think a 'sunken treasure room' at one of the more well-traveled air museums would be an intriguing attraction. I can just see the these coral encrusted Bf-109s and Stukas still showing small areas of original paint and armament, all arranged in a large "underwater" gallery with a motion picture playing at one end of the room detailing the fate of the ship, the original destination of the cargo, and the subsequent rediscovery and salvage of the artifacts from the ship's hold.

You'd probably have far more invested in the recovery and the display than the planes are worth, but you'd have something fairly unique that might pull in a broader range of visitors.
