Actually, "75" was the model designation by Boeing for their PT line, thus all manufacturer serial numbers start with 75. The military had contracts that gave the planes military type serial numbers, that started with a year date such as 41- or 42- etc, while the Navy gave the planes Bureau Numbers that don't have a date prefix. A little confusing until you learn the system.
It would appear that your Stearman in question is mc/n 75-5621, USAAC 42-17458 and was built as a PT-13D/A75N1 and is registered as N75662............Roger
