At Trenton (not a "national level" museum, either) they're busy showing what can be accomplished with a Halifax airframe recovered in similar nick to W1048. The Hendon Hali has been almost as much of a pet-peeve for me as the CAvM Beaufighter...With all the present and future activity at Hendon, all of which has to cost money, I'd hope they would be able/willing to restore W1048, as was once intended, as an integral part of the current round of upgrades to what has long been a "must see" among air museums.
