I was just informed that this afternoon our organisation was contacted by the recovery officer of the Dutch AF that a German radial engine had been found to the east of Amsterdam where a new housing area is being built in the IJsselmeer. If we wanted it...........what do you think.
Now that is what I call co-operation.

This is the exact spot where during WWII a very large German base was from where seaplanes like Arado 196 and He 115 operated from, according to our records over a dozen aircraft came to grief during take off and landing accidents. Guess where the engine is now.
