Hi All,

The Ki-100 was basically a Ki-61-II code name Tony. The Ki-100s started out as Ki-61 but when the Akashi plant was destroyed they had to find other engines hence the Ha-112-II 14 cylinder engine. They were call the Army Type 5 fighter Model 1A.

Some reports say this was the best late war Japaness fighter to be build. It does appear that it never receive an Allied code name.
