Got it in one Simon, I was pondering over it last night, knew I'd seen someone who looked like him but luckily I haven't had to endure 'love actually' yet :-D 'Part 2' would have to be about Beurling and his 'travels', instead of bringing all his paperwork with him when he became a crew member on an Atlantic Convoy ship he managed to forget one crucial thing, a signed chit saying that his parents gave permission to join up. So he had to go back on another convoy, narrowly missing being torpedoed, get the papers, then try not to get sunk on the way back again. A story in itself, as was his flight training, both in Canada and at 57 OTU.
