Hi Scott, for a first read I suggest the recent 'fortress malta' by James Holland (Orion publishers) then you could try Beurling's autobiography, 249 at war etc etc, the list is endless but I recommend the Holland book simply because it looks at the battle right from the start and through the eyes of a number of individuals, not just pilots, but civilians, ack-ack gunners, sailors and it's a very nicely put together book.
