"Goodbye Mickey Mouse" has been mentioned here before as a story with potential. I would tend to agree, although it has some similarities to Disney's "Pearl Harbour" (and I don't mean the mouse), and could therefore be disaster quite easily in the hands of the wrong producer.
How about a movie centered around the operations of the crews that flew supply missions into France in Lysanders and other aircraft types. Some potential there.
